"At least one out of five will be shot in the theaterr while watching the movie."

"It hurt me to wake up and see my beautiful black people suffer. Victimized by the oppressive, harsh, realities of the hood. I guess even though we are free, we are still slaves in the mind." -message

Ashtray was sent to live with his father, who is only a couple years older than him, to learn how to become a man. Seeking guidance, Ashtray turns to his cousin Loc Dog who happens to live across the street. Loc Dog is a known gang member and introduces Ashtray to his friends Preach and Crazy Legs. Preach was a former gang member that is now an activist. Preach is very confused because although he claims to be a black activist he seems to cater more to white women. Crazy Legs used to be a good dancer until he got shot by a drive by and is now paralyzed from the waist down. Ashtray, Loc Dog, Preach, and Crazy Legs decided to go to a local cookout. Majority of the men had their pants hanging down to their ankles, everyone was drinking the malt liquor St Dies, and people were having sex on the dance floor. This is when Ashtray lays eyes on Dashiki for the first time, along with her seven kids. Dashiki invites Ashtray to move with her out of the hood. Problems arose as Ashtray is spotted kissing Dashiki by her baby father Toothpick who had just spent five years incarcerated. Toothpicks then starts planning his revenge even though Dashiki has slept with everyone in the hood. Ashtray and Loc Dog run into Toothpick and his crew while at the liquor store, where they are scared off by nuclear warhead.

The next scene is Grandma in church where the pastor reminds the members that they should donate generously to the church without asking questions. Grandma also has a dance battle with one of the church members.  Ashtray and Loc Dog meet up with Maliq (Omar Epps who starred in the film Juice) to walk him to college for his first day. There is a homeless man holding up a sign that states "Homeless fuck it I ain't gonna lie I'm just lazy." After the homeless man collects change from the black community he takes off his disguise and hops in his black Mercedes Benz.

On the white mans notepad it states "Brothers who are trying to make it out of the hood," as he crosses Maliq's name out. Ashtray is scheduled to take his driving test at the DMV. At first his instructor seems very well spoken and of good character until he requests Ashtray to pull over in front of the bank that he then robs. While this is happening Loc Dog goes on a job interview.
Ashtray is at Dashiki's house when sexual contents begins to be displayed while her son was left in the previous room. Ashtray has sex with Dashiki for the first time and gets exciting news that she is pregnant. Afraid and not knowing what to do Ashtray admits that he is not ready for fatherhood. Dashiki kicks Ashtray out of her house, upset by his response.
"It is kind of tough growing up in the hood with no positive male role model to look up to."-message
Seeking advice Ashtray turns to Loc Dog. While walking back to Loc Dogs postal truck they are harassed by the cops, one who happened to be Bernie Mac. They are locked up because of their skin color. When released from jail they are approached by Toothpicks member about Ashtray getting Dashiki pregnant. They all take turns hitting the member to the point his body was peeled to the ground. They go to Old School, a original gangster for help only to find he can not help because his mom put him on punishment. Toothpick and his crew manage to locate Ashtray and execute a drive by. This caused Crazy Legs to be injured and hospitalized. Ashtray then realizes that he needs to be a man and take care of his child. Despite all of the irresponsible advice he gets from his father and cousin Loc Dog. Another drive by takes place while Ashtray and Loc Dog are sitting on Dashiki's porch. Toothpick was once again unsuccessful in shooting Ashtray and Grandma also helped with the shooting. Ashtray and Dashiki get married, Loc Dog became a comedian, Preach settled down with a white woman living in a trailer, and Crazy Legs was finally dancing again.
